Welcome to your latest update from Britain's national cleaning, security and related support services contractor, Regent Samsic...
Established in 1987 by managing director John Conry, £7m turnover JPC Cleaning employs 330 personnel providing award-winning cleaning solutions for many of London’s most prestigious buildings and office parks.
The Regent Samsic Security team in Birmingham was subject to further high
praise during another Royal site visit, this time at the city's
In our last issue, HRH Duke of Cambridge visited Bournville College in Longbridge, Birmingham to promote and support the Diana Award's Anti Bullying Campaign.
This month, general manager Harry Smith and the Regent Samsic security team were congratulated for their assistance during a visit to Matthew Boulton College by the Duke's uncle, Prince Edward.
Business development manager, Gill Burton and Paula Fantham, Payroll and HR administrator at Regent Samsic’s head office in Coventry, were just two of a total of 16 new First Aiders who have qualified over recent months.
Regent Samsic parent Groupe Samsic has agreed a new shirt sponsorship deal
with French Ligue 1 football team Stade Rennais FC.
Team members, including recently appointed manager and former Manchester United player, Mikkel Silvestre and club officials along with company staff and local media came together at Samsic's headquarters in Rennes to formally sign the deal.
Samsic is a long-standing major sponsor of Stade Rennais FC, which finished 8th last season in France's Ligue 1 football.
As a Regent Samsic divisional manager, Gail Sinton spends plenty of time on her feet. But in April she went above and beyond that 'call of duty' - in a 30 mile charity walk!
Raising money for the incredible work carried out by Macmillan Cancer Support Nurses, and in spite of sore feet, Gail battled the elements to walk 30 miles to victory (and a chocolatey reward!) along the towpath from Birmingham to Worcester.
Gail's chosen charity estimated that last year two and a half million people in the UK were living with cancer.
Through her fundraising, keen walker Gail lends her support to those who in turn support so many. Last year, she climbed Mount Snowdon for the cause; later this year, she will take on Worcester to Tewkesbury.
Regent Samsic joint managing director Jonathan King cycled 54 miles to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation's legendary London to Brighton bike ride this month.
Jonathan completed the journey in just over four hours on his trusty Raleigh to support the charity's critical research into prevention and treatment of heart disease - even conquering the mighty Ditchling Beacon on two wheels!
Jonathan and his sister smashed their fundraising target of £500 - but there's still time to support them! Visit their JustGiving site here
Massive congratulations Jonathan!
Regent Samsic's market share in Northern England continues to increase with the mobilisation of 10 sites for client BNP Paribas Real Estate in Leeds, Rotherham, Sheffield, Newcastle and Manchester.
The move comes after the company contracted Regent Samsic to clean sites managed in London and the South East.
"We're very excited to take on these new sites locally," says Regent Samsic northern regional manager, Bill Farley at the company's Leeds office.
New appointments to the Regent Samsic northern operations teams include operations manager, Graham Petersen.
Graham brings six years' experience in the facilities sector with Compass and Mitie to bear on helping further boost Regent Samsic's ongoing growth in the North over the last year. In his spare time, former pro ball room dancer Graham keeps his hand in on the dance floor still.
When employee James Barton looked for support in a bid to box for charity, Regent Samsic soon got in the ring!
The company is sponsoring the head office accounts apprentice and keen amateur boxer when he fights at a white-collar charity event at Stoneleigh Park on Saturday 16th July.
Organiser Ultra White Collar Boxing has hosted hundreds of events, trained thousands of boxers, and raised over £4,000,000 for Cancer Research in the process, says James.
"I attended a few of these events in support of various friends and they have all been thoroughly enjoyable and in a very good spirit," he reports.
"All the boxers will be raising money by participating in three two-minute rounds and over the course of the night there will be at least eight bouts."
Any and all support is greatly appreciated. Tickets can be found here and any donations can be made here.
Employing 3000 people, Regent Samsic provides cleaning, security and related support services to over 750 clients across the UK, including NHS Blood & Transplant, Volvo Truck & Bus UK, BNP Paribas Real Estate, United Biscuits, Fosse Shopping Park, Birmingham Metropolitan College and builders merchants Jewsons.
